Hilot: Traditional Filipinx Medicine
Re-membering earth-based ancestral practice
Naulipon kami sa kahadlok sa among kaawaynga dili makita, makamatay. Gihagit ug gitay og niini ang kinaiyanhanong kagustohan nga mabuhi. Tabangi kami mga Diwata, nga makalatasnga walay katalagman.

Bisayan Panuvadtuvad Prayer
We are caught by fear of those we quarrel with. Invisible and lethal, it challenges and threatens our instinct for survival. We realize our vulnerability. Help us, oh Diwatas, to go through this unharmed.

Lana Making Workshop
17th of August from 10am-2pm
Lana is a sacred healing coconut oil that our people have used for generations in ritual, medicine, and cooking too!

We’ll be sharing ancestral frameworks around herbal medicine, plant allies, animism and Hilot (Traditional Filipinx Medicine) as we make Lana from scratch. There’s no need to have any experience in herbal medicine, you don't even need to be Filipinx! After this workshop, you will be able to take home some Lana with you, as well as experience some ways our kin still use Lana in healing and ritual throughout the Archipelago.

Tawas Divination
Tawas is an ancestral diagnostic tool that can be used to explore concerns regarding your physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual health. It can also act as a ritual for cleansing and blessing the individual or home. The practitioner uses traditional tools such as paper, candle, lana (blessed medicinal oil), and badlit script (Bisaya Indigenous writing script) in performing the Tawas.
