A three month immersion for creative change-makers, liberatory softies and big-hearted visionaries to become intimate with their desires, trust their honest expression and devote to their creative praxis

If you’re tired of feeling like your desires have been squashed by the demands of what you should be doing, it’s time to romance your creative practice again.

Combining somatics, herbalism, yoga and astrology to resource your connection to your embodied self and your creative medium of choice, cross the threshold into relating with your creative life-force with clarity.

“In touch with the erotic, I become less willing to accept the powerlessness.”

- Audre Lorde

Our desires contain the seed for what our bodies long to express. Many of us have a distorted relationship with our desires, often relegated to the side and compartmentalised as frivolous or unimportant.

Your creative contributions are the wellspring of communal wellbeing. They are the bedrock for what nourishes our internal ecosystems and what sustains our communities.

Your creativity sets the tone for new life to flourish amidst difficult conditions.

In October, Venus repeats her 19 month cycle with the Sun and Earth and descends into her underworld journey. Venus - planet of desire, beauty, relationships, art, romance - will retrograde for 40 days and move into a brief period of invisibility to meet the heart of the Sun.

This year, Venus will be retrograding through Libra and Scorpio. In Libra and Scorpio, Venus will be navigating landscapes of beauty amidst harshness, intensity within intimacy, and harmony amongst chaos.

When Venus is moving retrograde, our desires, creativity, longing, and love is felt at a visceral, relational level where our personal and collective lives are coloured by moments of rupture, separation and challenge.

As Venus traverses through Scorpio, we are reckoning with the parts of us that keep hunting for more after satiating our desires instead of relishing and enjoying our wins. When Venus retrogrades in Libra, we will experiment with enjoying the here and now without overextending ourselves too far in multiple directions. We re-discover our commitment to our ethics and values through embracing chaos to arrive at moments of connection without leaving ourselves.

As Venus undergoes a period of stripping down pretences, she is inviting us into the intimate terrain of what is decaying to create what is honest to you.

Venus is asking: what do you really want?

frequently asked questions

Do I need to have an active creative practice to join?

You do not need to be actively expressing yourself through a specific creative medium to join, simply an intention and willingness to explore what this could look like for you.

What is the "Busy Bee" self-paced / asynchronous option?

This is an asynchronous option for those who cannot attend the live calls, or would simply prefer to join the immersion on their own timeline and terms. Participants joining asynchronously will receive all replays of the six live workshops (minus the 30 min group mentoring Q&A at the end of calls), but will not have access to the private community space.

How much time will I need to commit to this program beyond the live calls?

Choose your own adventure! You can spend as little or as much time devoting to your creative praxis and play outside of our shared time together.

How long are recordings available for?

Recordings are available for a year after the immersion completes.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes - through AfterPay or Zip Pay. Click through to “Payment Method” on Humanitix to select this option.

Are scholarships or concession prices available?

Yes, concession pricing is available for live participation - please email nawa@littlebangka.com for details.

Further scholarship pricing is available for self-paced/asynchronous participation - please email nawa@littlebangka.com for details.

I still have a question or concern that isn’t addressed here.

Please email nawa@littlebangka.com for details.

ginhawa is a Bisaya word that points us to the breath of life and reminds us of our aliveness. Even in the worst of times, how we breathe is an indication of our physical, emotional, cognitive, social, spiritual, and collective health. By engaging with an integrated self, we are building and enlivening our embodied knowledge to identify creative solutions to our problems, see the world differently, and meet our decolonised selves.
